U.S. Military Academy Assistant Business Manager (Food Service) NF-03 in West Point, New York

Responsibilities Assist the Business Manager (Food Service) in directing the operations and supervision of multiple food service facilities. Recommends and enforces operating procedures. Represents the activity to the public. Conducts surveys, reviews activity reports, and makes recommendations concerning services, promotion activities, and revenue improvements. Assist Business Manager in the selection of employees and in training new employees to work situations, compliance with health and safety standards, and proper use of storage of tools and equipment. Supervises assigned staff. Completes cash reports and makes daily deposits. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Work experience directly related to the duties to be performed. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level. 2. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment. 3. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. 4. Possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain the certificate within three months of employment. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Highly Preferred: 3 years of experience in food service management (in a supervisory or managerial role) Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards and regulations This experience and knowledge must be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
