Job description Staff Accountant JOB SUMMARY At SYNEO, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling. The Staff Accountant will provide accounting for multiple specified manufacturing locations. Accounting services will include compiling and preparing the manufacturing location’s financial reports as well as processing payroll, tax in QuickBooks and related items for the location. JOB DUTIES Essential Job Functions : The Staff Accountant will provide reliable and timely support in the following functions: Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger Process expense reports Perform month-end close procedures Enter data, maintain records and prepare and distribute reports and financial statements from QuickBooks and Great Plains Process accounts receivable/payable and maintain collections and payables Perform general accounting reconciliations Core Values: Solutions Oriented Positive Willing to go Beyond Relentless Understand the Value of Reputation Company-wide Responsibilities Promotes company policies and advocates for SYNEO Assures proper attendance and actions Provides and receives positive feedback and/or constructive criticism Maintains good communication with co-workers Serves as a resource for co-workers Cross-trains, learns how role interacts with other departments Works with managers and management to solve problems, providing suggestions as needed Maintains clean and organized work area, taking ownership of surroundings Maintains appropriate confidentiality of information Assures that equipment is in good working condition and maintained in proper working order PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This work is accomplished in an office environment.
