The Community Relations and Development Department at our Eastern Territorial Headquarters has an opening for a Director of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM).

The Salvation Army Eastern Territory (TSAE) instance of Salesforce NPSP is a unified, territory-wide constituent relationship management (CRDM) database system that will enable: • A 360-degree view of all constituent affiliations, involvements, giving and assignments • Inform strategic decision making through improved reports and analytics • Support enhanced relational fundraising engagement through activities, opportunities, performance and donations tracking • Provide the foundation for more effective long-term direct response marketing approaches and data-enhanced personalization

The Director of Constituent Relationship Management (DCRM) is responsible for leading the advancement of The Salvation Army regarding effective management and use of its CRM and associated systems and tools (Salesforce NPSP, data warehouse, reporting tools, campaign management tools, lockbox interface, Finance interface, etc.) in support of: • Successful fundraising across functions • Smarter marketing and targeting • Enhanced analytics and forecasting • Improved reporting, stewardship of donors/gift and reconciliation with finance • Building business processes that support data integrity, transparency, and support a desired state for fundraising programs and constituent management.

The Director of CRM reports to the Territorial Director of Integrated Marketing (TDIM) and works closely with colleagues within CRD as well as divisional stakeholders’ and the Finance and IT teams to ensure our CRM and associated systems and tools, as well as business processes, are maintained at the highest standards and serving the Army’s broad CRD business objectives, including an extraordinary donor experience.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and manage business and technical processes/workflows within our corporate CRM system. • Lead the business side of the life cycle within Salesforce across the TSAE, working with IT. • Manage the CRM fundraising system that will assist the territory in raising funds to support programmatic operations and the organizational mission.

• Manage and maintain all business and some technical aspects of the CRM system (including database maintenance, training, user adoption, customization, etc.). • Continually builds and refines the organization's understanding of its constituents, including annual situational assessments, and works collaboratively with other members of the organization to develop strategies for leveraging constituent data to advance the work of the organization. • Serves as team leader for organization's, CRM training.program. • Serves as liaison with Information Technology and staff as well as, territorial and divisional development staff, business users and vendors to define and document business function (e.g. major gifts, direct marketing, gift planning, etc.) information requirements (both present and future) and drive the development of the CRM ecosystem business processes and workflows so those needs can be met. • Takes lead on all augmentation/clean-up of existing data sources prior to conversion and ensures constituent data is fresh, current and as enhanced as possible to ensure the most effective use of all the information available. • Collaborate with the CRD Business Intelligence Director to ensurethe ensure accuracy and integrity of the data, including input and output, technology management, and end-user training and support. • Oversee budgets, progress, deadlines, goals and objectives related to CRM. • Supports territorial and divisional committees as necessary. CRD Council. • Acts as THQ CRD point of contact for all CRM related issues with the divisions. • Implements and reports on Privacy and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures related to all aspects of work with constituent data, working closely with IT and Legal to ensure we are data secure and compliant with all applicable laws and data security best practices. • Work with IT to coordinate and plan for future data conversions/upgrades as needed. • Other related responsibilities as assigned by the TDIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, plus additional related professional training and certifications, Master’s Degree advantageous. • 8 to 10 years experience with Salesforce and CRM systems. • Possess Salesforce certificates • Experience leading an organization through a CRM transition and effective change management • Experience leading large, multi-year, business-critical Salesforce platform • Hands on experience in Agile software delivery models (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum etc.) • Knowledgeable in cloud platforms and applications, and experience implementing at an enterprise- scale • Hands-on experience in Salesforce development and core frameworks (Apex and Lightning) • Working knowledge of Data Analytics platforms like Tableau, Alteryx, etc • Project oversight experience required • Experience effectively managing teams (including virtual) and working in a collaborative environment • Strong familiarity or experience with the workings of a nonprofit organization and with enterprise level nonprofit fundraising and communications programs desired • Ability to multi-task with several complex and demanding concurrent projects • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be Salesforce Admin certified
