Aston Carter Accountant in West Memphis, Arkansas

Description:

As a fast-paced, manufacturing company that is expanding is looking for a accountant to help in multiple aspects of the business. This position will be responsible for:

Ensuring the accuracy of a variety of financial records.

Prepare financial statements

Perform month end close

Reconcile control accounts

Prepare journal entries

Prepare various analytical reports

Maintain fixed asset records

Weekly GL Posting for Payroll

Troubleshoot accounting issues

Reconcile sales taxes, purchase clearing, and freight accounts

Audit production entries

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent required (would consider strong experience with Associates)

3-5 years of experience in accounting or related role

Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Understanding of Accounting and Financial Reporting principles and practices

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)

Sage 100 ERP software experience a plus

Excellent organization and time management skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
