LANDSCAPE LABORER: TEMPORARY FULL TIME POSITION. SEVEN (7) POSITIONS OPEN: April 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Work areas include: Salt Lake County-All Cities: Salt Lake City, West Jordan, South Jordan, Draper, Sandy, Bluffdale, Riverton, Kearns, Taylorsville, West Valley. Utah County-All Cities: Provo, Orem, Lehi, American Fork, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs. Job Duties include: General landscape labor. Raking and shoveling areas to prep for landscape materials. Placing weed barrier prior to installing xera-scape which is a colored rock landscape material or bark mulch. Raking landscape materials to a finish grade. Sweeping streets and parking lots after the project is complete. General landscape maintenance. Mowing lawns, picking up garbage, weed eating or edging, running blowers for grass clippings. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Two months experience required in Landscape Services, no education required, 2 months on the job training, personal protection training. Must be able to travel to and from Rock Chuckers shop in West Jordan daily. Once arriving at the shop, laborers will be transported to and from different work sites. Understanding grades and slopes, and knowledge of laser equipment to help perform tasks is helpful. 40 hours per week with overtime possible Monday through Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm, some weekends may be required. Wage: $20.26 per hour with $30.39 after overtime 40+ hours per week PWD. Returning workers or workers with more experience may be paid a higher hourly wage rate at employer's discretion. Bonuses possible at employer's discretion. Anticipated start date of April 01, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Employer will use a single work week for its standard for computing wages due. Pay period is weekly on Friday afternoons. No option of board or lodging or other facilities is offered for this position. Employer will deduct all applicable Utah State and Federal Taxes as required by law for each pay check. Reimbursed travel expenses from employee's home town to West Jordan, UT will be paid after employees complete 50% of period of employment. Daily subsistence will be at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Rock Chuckers, LLC will provide or pay for the worker's cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to hometown if employee completes the employment period or if Rock Chuckers dismisses an employee prior to December 31, 2025. Rock Chuckers, LLC will reimburse the worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government or will provide advance payment for transportation and daily subsistence. Rock Chuckers, LLC will provide without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment to perform the duties assigned. Rock Chuckers, LLC will provide a 3/4's guarantee of the workdays of each 12 week period during period of employment.
