The fitter person will be helping the Welders. They would be the Welder's right hand man. Welding metal aluminum boxes for industrial electrical control panels. Some structural welding building frames for the E-houses. Will have pass weld test. Tig and Mig weld test on 12, 14 and 16 gauge, also welds on heavy tubing that is 3/8" and 1/4" wall to test fitter skills.

Shift: 3:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday- Friday.  1st day (Monday or Wednesday) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for orientation and safety training

Responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
• Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints

Qualifications: 

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of metallurgy
• Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
