POSITION OVERVIEW

The Electronic Technician Maintenance II supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment

• Perform preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions

• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers' manuals or similar documents

• Perform inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines

• Enter work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system.

• Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems

• May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians' work

• Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner

• Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance

• Travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS may be required

• Other duties may be assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance (active or eligible)

• HS Diploma (AA Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial

work experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components desired

• Experience with electronics and computer testing/troubleshooting

• Will consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, certifications and/or professional

experience)

• Able to successfully pass a background check

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges

• Must be able to gain access to military installation

PREFERRED SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

• AS/AAS Degree in computers, electronics, or engineering. (Experience Equivalent to Degree)

• Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work

under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
