Administrative/Accounting Assistant

West Jordan, UT (onsite)

Full-time

$20-25/hr DOE

A global manufacturing company is growing their Utah location and is looking to bring on an Administrative/Accounting Assistant to help leadership with a variety of administrative, accounting, and clerical tasks. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in their career as there will be a lot of opportunities to take on new tasks and learn new skills. This role will be suited for someone who likes to stay busy, is proactive, and has an aptitude for learning.

What will the Administrative/Accounting Assistant be doing?

  • Assisting Managers with a variety of clerical and administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, reporting, correspondence, etc.

  • Assisting the Accounting team

  • Accounts Payable, reviewing invoices, entering invoices into the ERP system, recording vendor payments, etc.

  • Accounts Receivable, tracking aging, sending out payment requests, creating invoices, etc.

  • Managing employee timecards and performing job costing to ensure accuracy

  • Managing office inventory and supplies

  • Coordinating with external vendors

  • Collecting and distributing mail and packages

  • Managing data entry, opening new files, tracking purchase orders, etc.

  • Generating reports

  • Ensuring the office is tidy and running efficiently

  • Streamlining administrative processes and finding areas for improvement

  • Other duties as assigned

What is required?

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, administrative, office, or accounting support

  • 3+ years of experience in AP/AR

  • Computer savvy, MS Office Suite

  • Ability to utilize and understand basic math (percentages, decimals, ratios, division, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • High degree of organization

  • Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and assist other team members wherever needed

  • High degree of professionalism

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills
