About the role This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic and related systems on molding equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. Responsibilities Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures Supports a quality work environment by following quality policies and procedures Installs, services, and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic issues on components such as pumps, tanks, motors, valves, and filters Tears down and assembles hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders Diagnoses mechanical equipment failures and malfunctions, makes necessary repairs and adjustments to keep equipment in proper operating condition Performs production tooling and material changes, including removing, installing, and setting up molds using established methods and parameters to meet specifications Submits samples to Quality Assurance for inspection and to obtain a license to produce parts Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as required Operates molding presses and de-flashing machines as needed Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Skills & Abilities Ability to analyze and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic flow charts Ability to operate drills, cutting equipment, and basic shop equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to communicate in verbal and written English Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling Requires eye/hand/foot coordination Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
