Catholic Health Services Speech Lang Pathologist in West Islip, New York

Job Details The Speech Language Pathologist provides treatment to children at our pediatric outpatient facility. Responsibilities: Evaluates and treats speech, language, and swallowing needs in children of all ages and diagnoses. Develops individualized treatment plans and set goals for children diagnosed as needing speech and language / feeding/swallowing interventions. Re-evaluates and modifies treatment programs as warranted. Selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment. Provide speech therapy services to children with IEPs. Areas addressed include articulation, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor competence and dysphagia. Ideal candidates possess a passion for and experience in pediatrics and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Accurate documentation for all patient visits in EMR Educate patient and family members. Work with interdisciplinary team when indicated for plan of care. Requirements: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). New York State license and registration in Speech-Language Pathology required. CPR certification. TSSLD Certification is required. Pediatric MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) experience preferred. Pediatric outpatient experience preferred. Infant feeding experience preferred. Ideal candidates possess a passion for and experience in pediatrics and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction. Ability to comply with all regulatory standards Salary Range USD $42.53 - USD $53.16 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
