Description

A growing and dynamic financial services organization in the West Hartford area is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated to learn and grow in a professional environment that values a work / life balance. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with month end close, preparing and processing journal entries, assisting with financial statement preparation, bank compliance reporting, working with outside auditors and working on special projects as assigned by the Controller and CFO.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of Public Accounting experience. A CPA is preferred or CPA candidate in the process of obtaining the designation. The base salary for this position is between $70,000 to $90,000 along with bonus potential.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proficient in General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Demonstrable experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
