Athene Actuarial Systems Programmer Analyst II in West Des Moines, Iowa

Purpose:

The ideal candidate will provide technical support for Model Production Team (MPT) tasks which are analytical in nature. These tasks include data reconciliation, data analysis, development of MG-Integrate/ALFA changes, execution of

MG-Integrate/ALFA quarterly production and coordination with internal teams. The candidate will have a passion for cross collaboration and problem solving.

Accountabilities:

  • Executes quarter end production in a timely and controlled manner

  • Perform analysis, reconciliation, and cleanup of quarter end processes

  • Develops and documents solutions to reduce the time needed for quarter end

  • Ability to understand and write Python scripts to streamline processes

  • Ability to collaborate with team members from various areas of the organization to deliver value.

  • Maintain and enhance Integrate Data Model and Integrate Financial Projections for existing and future transactions

  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues as they arise. Communicate effectively with various teams, 3rd party vendors and team members to accurately and efficiently resolve issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Four plus years data manipulation and reconciliation experience

  • Programming experience required (Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar language preferred)

  • Self-starter and quick learner, being able to solve complex issues independently and in collaborative team settings.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills.

  • Results-oriented, with ability to execute multiple high-priority items simultaneously.

  • Ambition and desire to succeed by delivering quality and effective results.

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, business/data analytics, finance, math, accounting, business or related field

  • Experience with MG-Integrate/ ALFA is preferred, but not required
