Job Summary:

To be responsible for working closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, OpEx, Marketing, Quality and Administration departments. Responsible for establishing, implementing and directing quality assurance efforts to ensure that requirements for processing components and other materials in finished goods and products conform to quality standards based on customer quality requirements and expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports corporate policy of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Through subordinate supervisors or professional staff, establishes and maintains quality assurance standards, procedures and controls.

  • Works directly with manufacturing to schedule and control inspection activities and to enforce requirements as specified by raw materials, ingredients, products and package specifications and regulatory agencies.

  • Reviews contract documentation for completeness and accuracy.

  • Works with research and development during new product start-ups and established checkpoints for testing new products and processes.

  • Initiates corrective action for procedural product or process deficiencies.

  • Develops and implements a program of supplier relations.

  • May function as a key quality representative for supplier and customer audits.

  • Serves as the ISO 9001 and AS9100 management representative.

  • Required to conform to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

  • Ensure that the quality system is effective and compliant per requirements of MIL-PRF-38534, AS9100 and ISO9001:2000.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years experience in a high technology environment

  • Hands-on experience leading a 5+ person team

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • Background in hybrid or semiconductor required

  • Proficient in GMP and Military/Aerospace standards required.

  • Proficient in Malcolm Baldridge Criteria and Model for Quality.

  • Demonstrated experience in Six Sigma/ISO9000/AS9100 implementation

  • Demonstrated experience sufficient to demonstrate thorough competency and knowledge of both the concepts and practice of modern product assurance and process control principles and techniques as applied to a hybrid or semiconductor design and manufacturing operation.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage new product introduction processes insuring all aspects of design for test and manufacture ability are addressed.

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
