The Department of Human Services is seeking a Custodial Worker to support our goal of maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors at our hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Custodial Worker 1, you will be responsible for taking care of basic housekeeping needs at the Wernersville State Hospital. Areas include living units, offices, and other miscellaneous areas in over 10 buildings on the hospital campus. In addition to cleaning indoors, you will keep outside premises and building entrances in an orderly condition, and respond to emergency type cleaning such as flooding.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays, and a 30-minute lunch. Work days and hours may change based on operational needs. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
