Position Title: Mechanical Engineer-Experienced

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Review customer specifications and requirements while working with the engineering project team to ensure delivery of a complete and optimal product. Take overall mechanical ownership of the project bill of materials including developing new assemblies, validating functionality, and releasing the part and assemblies to production. Provide direction as mechanical technical lead to a team of designers who take your concepts and turn them into new or updated 3D models. Work directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce your designs. Help improve Siemens products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements. Help improve Siemens processes and tools by providing feedback to leadership team and business excellence teams. Support Siemens products including low voltage motor control centers and low voltage control panels. Execute Design to Order tasks from members of the team for their respective projects, including the development of new mechanical designs required for the project. Complete Design to Order tasks for members of the team to develop the mechanical configurations that are needed for the project but are missing for the existing design library. Complete Product Support tasks based on identified Non-Conformances and design errors, including the update and correction of existing assemblies that have been found defective during assembly or commissioning operations. Remote work permitted.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Systems Engineer, Design Engineer, or a related occupation.

The position requires two (2) years of experience working with 3D models. The position requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills: Experience working in a made to order manufacturing environment; Experience with AutoCAD; Experience working with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems; and Experience working with complex engineering BOMs (Bill of Materials). Remote work permitted.
