Trehab, a dedicated Community Action Agency, provides free Workforce Development programs to empower our community. We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Career Resource Room (CRC) Attendant at the Tioga County PA CareerLink®.
Position Details:
- Part-time (30 hours/week) with benefits
- Engaging role with direct public interaction, clerical tasks, and computer-based responsibilities
What You'll Do: As the first point of contact, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors. Your daily responsibilities will include: ? Greeting and assisting individuals seeking in-person services ? Administering initial screening questionnaires and managing appointment schedules ? Coordinating customer flow and directing visitors to appropriate staff and resources ? Providing job search assistance, workshop information, & technical support in the Career Resource Center ? Conducting intake triage and maintaining a safe, organized environment ? Teaching job search workshops and preparing monthly reports ? Collaborating with a team to support job seekers with computer systems and employment opportunities

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Greet and triage visitors upon arrival, directing them to the appropriate staff and services.
- Career Resource Support: Assist job seekers with PA CareerLink® registration, website navigation, and service referrals.
- Program Presentations: Provide job seekers with information on employment programs and resources.
- Professional Communication: Engage with a diverse range of professionals while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Workshop Facilitation: Assist with and conduct job readiness workshops as needed.
- Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks, including answering calls, assisting job seekers over the phone, taking messages, providing clear information, copying documents, recording meeting notes, and preparing monthly reports.
- Unemployment Compensation Knowledge: Stay informed on current UC filing procedures.
- Collaborative Engagement: Coordinate with PA CareerLink® partners to enhance service delivery.
- Confidentiality Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to pass all required PA Clearances upon hire and possess a valid driver's license.

- Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Career Counseling Profici ncy: Experience assisting with resume and cover letter development.
- Client Assessment & Support: Knowledge of customer assessment, program eligibility determination, and providing training and support services.
- Regulatory Understanding: Ability to interpret and adhere to federal, state, and local policies and regulations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Organizational & Multitasking Abilities: Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Client Engagement: Comfortable working with both job seekers and business clients.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Ability to effectively serve and support diverse populations.
- Professional Integrity: Maintains strict confidentiality, credibility, and professionalism.
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to provide basic instruction to customers.
- Valid Driver's License: Required for job-related travel.
