The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time.

As a participant in the Co-op/Intern Professional Development Program, you will be cultivating professional skills and perform professional level work at FirstEnergy. Each participant will receive on-the-job training, mentoring, experiential learning and challenging assignments to refine skills and round out competencies.

As a Supply Chain Intern at FirstEnergy, you will have hands on experience transforming data into actionable insights. Additionally, you will be empowered to gain the on the job skills and knowledge needed to conduct robust analytics across a host of real-world problems. Interns will gain proficiencies in various technologies and related software.

As a Supply Chain Intern you may participate in the following functions: Collaborating with various teams to develop data driven insights Mining, organizing, and interpreting large data sets Employing models to evaluate, identify significance, predict and forecast patterns and trends in data Utilizing real-word data sources and software to research, analyze and showcase meaningful conclusions Reporting objective, clear, and concise data insights Identifying opportunities for process improvements including the automation of manual processes Using the ETL process (Extract, Transform, Load) to transform and consolidate data from multiple sources Creating visualizations that effectively communicate trends and patterns as well as support conclusions and recommendations through in-depth graphs, charts, tables, etc. Using geographic data to create visually exciting, interactive and informative maps Building custom interactive data visualization Applying information literacy skills to a variety of scenarios to locate, evaluate, organize, and communicate information to support data-driven decision making Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited university/college with a major in Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or Business or related field Completed courses in areas such as modeling, data analytics, statistics and forecasting, computer programing; information systems, data management or other relevant applied science course. Prior experience in data analytics may be considered in lieu of coursework Must have a graduation date not earlier than May 2024 (Graduation date MUST be listed on resume) Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
