As part of the Global Payroll Team, the Regional Payroll Lead will be responsible for the delivery of payroll and payroll services within the applicable Region. This role is pivotal in the efficient and effective operation of the payroll function, ensuring payroll is delivered accurately and on time in multiple countries around the world.

Your responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting assigned Payroll Analysts. In addition, conduct training for Payroll Analysts to meet objectives.

  • Validating and approving assigned country payrolls processed by Payroll Analysts.

  • Processing payroll for assigned countries following the designated payroll work instructions, standard operating procedures, and internal process checklist.

  • Validating data sent and received from our Payroll Services Partner ensuring all agreed controls and evidence is accurate for approval.

  • Paying employees accurately and on-time, which includes 3rd party payments.

  • Resolving escalated employee queries from the Case Management system and taking action to escalate further where needed.

  • Responding and resolving complex general ledger queries with our finance partners.

  • Managing all audits (whether internal or external) within the region.

  • Maintaining and adjusting internal payroll documentation for assigned countries.

  • Acting as the subject matter expert for regional payrolls.

  • Supporting Special Projects as and when required.

Requirements for the role:

  • Extensive expertise in payroll calculations and operations, with proven ability to manage complex payroll scenarios, resolve discrepancies, and optimize payroll workflows to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Experience with payroll processing across various countries/jurisdictions within the region.

  • People management experience, including the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop others.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks and deliverables.

  • Proven ability to prioritize workload effectively, managing multiple tasks and competing deadlines to ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and professionally convey information to customers and stakeholders.

  • Strong command of business English, both written and verbal, to support effective communication and collaboration in a global environment.

Desirable skills for the role:

  • Experience with Workday and CloudPay.
