Position Summary:

Build professional relationships with VIP Guests, strong enough to increase the value of play over an extended period of time by having a thorough knowledge of promotions, issuing complimentary services, and handling guest opportunities; all while adhering to Company standards, policies, and procedures.

In this Role:

  • Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards.”

  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity on and off duty.

  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive, team-oriented work environment.

  • Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all Guest opportunities.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management.

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards” at all times.

  • Responsible for continuous acquisition of new Guests and developing existing Guests to grow the property player base and increase net revenues through various methods of contact, such as, in person, telemarketing, email, and mail.

  • Build and maintain rapport with all levels of existing Guests as well as Management.

  • Responsible for adhering to data entry standards.

  • Responsible for the issuance of complimentaries to qualified Guests.

  • Prepare and implement assignments as instructed by management.

  • Actively involved and knowledgeable of all property special events and promotions, especially as it pertains to VIP Guests.

  • Effectively and accurately operate assigned equipment.

  • Able to handle Guests opportunities and relate those to the appropriate Manager/Director.

  • Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED; plus (2) two years of college completed.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in telemarketing, sales, or guest service in the hospitality industry.

  • Must have the ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work.

  • Must possess a strong, outgoing, enthusiastic and friendly personality.

  • Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.

  • Able to make progress and/or handle multiple assignments under time constraints.

  • Ability to work through situations with upset/irate Guests.

  • Must have general knowledge and understanding of casino operations. Slot games, Video Poker, Keno, Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow, Midi-Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’Em, Roulette, Four Card Poker, Three Card Poker and Let it Ride.

  • Performs a diverse range of responsibilities including, but not limited to attending to VIP Guests, telemarketing, and guest service.

  • Ability to analyze data and make an informed decision.

  • Previous sales experience, telemarketing, or hospitality management experience is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products, casino management system, and a contact management system with the ability to learn and comprehend new programs.

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work any shift or any day as business demands call for it.

  • Must obtain a Gun Lake Tribal Gaming License

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.

  • Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

  • Ability to read, write and input data into the computer.

  • Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically in an office environment or out on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy. Tasks may be required to perform from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
