Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

The Industrial Field Service Lead oversees and coordinates field service activities related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to build, manage, and lead a team of field service technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery to clients.

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Build, lead, and manage a team of field service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Schedule and allocate tasks to team members based on skill set and project requirements.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Service Operations:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customers' industrial equipment.

  • Ensure all service activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field service operations.

  • Perform and supervise tasks related to alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Customer Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding field service issues and inquiries, including equipment malfunctions, service scheduling, and emergency services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Address and resolve client complaints and service-related issues promptly, ensuring effective communication and solutions.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical support and expertise to field service technicians, customers, and peers.

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Conduct technical training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Implement and manage vibration monitoring routes to detect and diagnose equipment issues proactively.

Project Management:

  • Plan and oversee field service projects from initiation to completion.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.

  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and inventory logs.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on field service performance and metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
