Job Title: Mechanical DrafterJob Description

The drafter will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and designs that are provided by mechanical engineers.

Hard Skills

• Create detailed mechanical drawings and designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)

• Prepare 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies

• Develop layouts, schematics, and diagrams based on engineering specifications

• Generate and maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specifications

• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations

Soft Skills

• Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints

• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs and processes

• Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective

• Perform quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Revise drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope or requirements

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design and drafting technologies

• Propose and implement improvements to design processes and tools

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Collaborative work environment with engineers, project managers, manufacturing, and production teams.
