Generac Power Systems Marketing Project Manager in Waukesha, Wisconsin

The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for managing marketing projects and campaigns. This position is the project point person, working cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal customers to define the project and team to execute the project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal clients/customers on project/task intake.

  • Translate project and campaign concepts into defined deliverables.

  • Create project plans and timelines.

  • Work with the creative team to insure timely delivery of projects and tasks, meeting or exceeding expectations of quality

  • Analyze project and campaign results and recommend changes/optimization

  • Manage a project and campaign portfolio and provide forward-looking projections of resource demands

  • Assist business leaders is creating business cases for proposed projects

  • Liaison with external vendors to complete projects, as necessary.

  • Mentor and guide project team members to deliver on the project/program requirements.

  • Coordinate communication activities that highlight and publicize plans, goals and results.

  • Serve as a conduit for the flow of information, the sharing of best practices and external benchmarks.

  • Clearly understand and document customers’ definition and expectation of quality and cascade to team members.

  • Ensure understanding, commitment, and application among all strategic decision makers for the successful application of best practice of project management and problem solving. Ensure consistency with corporate vision, direction, policies and guidelines.

  • Coordinate communication activities that highlight and publicize plans, goals and results.

  • Serve as a conduit for the flow of information, the sharing of best practices and external benchmarks.

  • Clearly understand and document customers’ definition and expectation of quality and cascade to appropriate function and team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 5 years’ experience in marketing or sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management related course completion/certification

  • 3 years of experience managing marketing projects and campaigns.

  • 3 years of experience as the lead contact with clients/end customers, managing the intake of new tasks and projects

  • Experience with a range of components of the Marketing Technology landscape, including content management systems, digital ad platforms, social media management, email marketing/marketing automation, and web analytics

  • Ability to work with diverse personalities while remaining tactful, professional, and flexible.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment;

  • Leadership ability, Demonstrated coaching and mentoring ability.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams and individuals cross-functionally.

  • Proven customer service orientation.

  • Knowledge of and ability to stay current with trending topics in marketing.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

  • Ability to create realistic estimates.

  • Ability to capture, interpret and convey project/task requirements to internal teams

  • Project plan and milestone development skills with an ability to create comprehensive timelines, budgets and status documents

  • Ability to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
