Job Description:

The Role:

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Pre-Arrival leader oversee our Pre-Arrival team. In this pivotal role, you will manage a small team of Pre-Arrival Supervisors, leading leaders who ensure seamless operations within the patient access department. Your leadership will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care by ensuring a smooth patient journey from scheduling to arrival, while aligning with the organization's strategic goals.

The Work:

  • Lead & Inspire : Manage and mentor a team of Pre-Arrival Supervisors, fostering a leadership culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive Operations : Oversee staff scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and performance management for your team, ensuring optimal departmental efficiency and accountability.

  • Financial Oversight : Monitor departmental budgets, manage vendor relations, ensure regulatory compliance, and track contracts to maintain high standards in operations.

  • Ensure Resource Availability : Determine and justify the need for systems, equipment, and supplies while managing inventory and ensuring proper functionality.

  • Strategic Development : Assist with developing departmental goals, standards, and objectives to support the organization’s broader strategic plan.

  • Support Special Projects : Participate in special projects and provide business analysis as needed to support departmental initiatives.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience , with proven leadership skills, preferably in patient access or Pre-Arrival operations.

  • 5+ years of Pre-Arrival experience (preferred).

  • A track record of coaching and motivating leaders and their teams to perform at their best.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience with Workday (Manager module), managing payroll, staffing, and performance management.

  • Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, to effectively engage with staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.

  • Adaptability : You’re comfortable shifting priorities quickly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
