General ManagerWatertown, NYJK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a successful fourth-generation truck dealership in search of a General Manager to join its team! Are you a dynamic and talented leader with a knack for managing operations and inspiring teams? Our client is seeking a General Manager to lead, direct, and manage one of its five locations! This role is ideal for someone with previous supervisory experience, outstanding management and leadership skills, and effective communication abilities. As the General Manager, you will take charge of all aspects of the dealership, including sales, service, parts, finance, and administration.Responsibilities•Lead and Inspire: Provide strong leadership to dealership staff, including sales, service, parts, and administrative personnel. Train, motivate, and develop your team to reach their highest potential.•Drive Sales: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve dealership goals. Monitor sales performance and inspire your team to exceed targets.•Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by setting excellent customer service standards and resolving complaints promptly.•Oversee Operations: Manage day-to-day operations, including inventory management, pricing, and profitability, to ensure smooth and efficient dealership functions.•Financial Management: Oversee dealership finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor expenses and control costs to maximize profitability.•Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop dealership staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.•Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and industry regulations while upholding ethical standards and promoting a positive work environment.•Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with truck manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors to optimize dealership operations and profitability.•Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to create and implement impactful marketing campaigns and promotional activities.•Strategic Planning: Develop long-term strategic plans and objectives for the dealership. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement.Additional Considerations:•Knowledge of transportation industry trends, regulations, and best practices.•Ability to monitor software program CDK for reports.•Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and manufacturer offerings.•Support other branches and departments within the company.•Maintain a safe and efficient working environment and facility.•Ensure branch safety compliance, including all state and local requirements.Requirements•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required); MBA (preferred).•Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role, preferably within a related industry.•10+ years of management experience (required); sales experience.•Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.•Solid understanding of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and finance.•Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.•Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Salary Range•$85,000-$100,000JK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
