Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

The A/R Billing Specialist manages all aspects of a comprehensive healthcare billing and grant vouchering system for agency program services, applying sound judgment in handling Medicaid and third-party insurance claim submissions. This role also provides technical supervision and guidance on billing procedures, regulations, and computerized billing systems to support staff. Additionally, the Billing Specialist ensures accurate and detailed billing and accounts receivable records. They collaborate with the Assistant Director of Fiscal Services on monthly revenue and accounts receivable reporting.

A/R Billing Specialist Minimum Qualifications:

A High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of billing experience are required. Strong skills in analyzing revenue and receivable accounts, as well as accurate entry of accounting data, are essential. This position demands a high level of interpersonal communication, independent decision-making, and leadership abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software is required. Familiarity with accounting practices and non-profit financial operations is preferred.

Candidates should be well-versed in Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance claim billing procedures, utilizing specialized software such as Medisked and Millin Pro. (Specialized software training will be provided post-hire, if necessary.)

Full Time: 37.5 Hours per week

Pay Rate: $40,000 - $50,000 annually
