This agency began in 1982 with prior owner Terry Follbaum. Julie Manetta worked at the agency beginning in 1997 and purchased it from Terry in 2012. Meemic Insurance is a Company built by educators in 1950 to provide insurance to the educational community. AAA purchased Meemic Insurance in 2009 and recently provided the opportunity for Meemic Agencies to sell AAA products as well as still providing specialized Home and Auto products for the educational community.

Responsibilities

Customer interaction over phone and face to face.

Assist new and current customers with policy coverage selections, payments and overall questions related to Property and Casualty insurance.

Quote and sell new business through multiple insurance carriers.

Other Marketing Opportunities

Assist in distributing marketing materials to local schools as well as delivering grants.

Help bring awareness of agency through social media sites.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree (Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field a plus, but not necessary)

Preferred Experience:

Previous employment in a sales role where you've successfully turned prospects into customers.

A Michigan property and Casualty insurance license - or a willingness to earn one

Public speaking experience

Required Skills:

Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationships with prospective and existing customers

Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines

Can adapt to new technology and learn new programs easily
