Eaton Corporation Tool and Die Maker - 1st Shift in Washington, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Tool and Die Maker - 1st Shift. The core hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $26.32 per hour. All new hires will receive 95% of the full pay rate. Upon successful completion of 6 months, the employee will receive 100% of the pay rate of 27.71.

What you’ll do:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to set up and operate machine tools for outlet box construction.

  • Perform precision machining operations, including cutting, drilling, grinding, milling and turning to fabricate parts and components.

  • Inspect and measure machined components to ensure they meet precise specifications

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on dies including disassembling, diagnosing faults, and performing intricate repairs.

  • Specialize in the repair of progressive and compound dies, ensuring they function efficiently and effectively.

  • Modify and adjust dies for new product specifications and enhancements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with dies to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules

  • Implement and follow rigorous safety standards and protocols, particularly in handling heavy machinery and sharp tools

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree related to Tool and Machining or 2 years of machining experience.

  • Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.

  • Welding TIG/MIG experience

  • Familiarity with steel heat treating process

  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Washington, PA (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
