Description We are seeking a Tax Preparer to become a part of our team in the Services industry, situated in Washington, New Jersey. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Tax Preparer, your responsibilities will include the preparation of various tax returns, estate accounting, and maintaining overall technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual tax returns, including Schedule C

• Manage the preparation of business tax returns, especially for partnerships

• Carry out fiduciary tax return preparation

• Perform estate accounting tasks

• Maintain proficiency in Lacerte, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online

• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills in daily tasks

• Show meticulousness and strong organizational skills

• Encourage a collaborative attitude within the workplace

• Stay current and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Accounting Software Systems, Lacerte Tax Software, Microsoft Excel, Deductible, Documentation, Financial Records, Estate Tax, Fiduciary Income Tax Return, and Individual Tax Return. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a tax preparer role or similar position within the detail oriented services industry

• Proficiency in using accounting software systems for efficient tax preparation

• Experience with Lacerte Tax Software is highly desirable

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Knowledge of deductible items and ability to maximize client returns

• Excellent documentation skills for maintaining accurate financial records

• Experience in preparing estate tax returns

• Familiarity with fiduciary income tax return preparation

• Proven track record of preparing individual tax returns.
