Strategic Systems Programs Office PROGRAM ANALYST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Nuclear Weapons Surety Division, NWS Policy & Compliance Branch, Safety Section of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS. Responsibilities You will conduct comprehensive review and analysis of the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) for compliance with existing DoD and Navy policy. You will assess adequacy of PRP programs, proposes corrective action, and lead Navy policy development as necessary. You will draft written technical guidance for command directives, SECNAV and SECDEF policy. You will provide technical review of requests for waivers and decertification from PRP certifying officials. You will coordinate with external, senior-level counterparts. You will provide guidance, leadership, assistance and consultation to ensure that sensitive material and information is disseminated through the Nuclear Weapons Enterprise. You will conduct major briefings and presentations in reference to the PRP to include Strategic Weapons Systems week briefs at the fleet concentration areas. You will analyze complex and unique PRP issues providing independent, strategic solutions to unusual and complex issues and situations. You will serve as the lead DON representative to ensure PRP compliance throughout the Navy. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and assessing policies and procedures to make recommendations for the management of a Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
