Naval Sea Systems Command IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a Senior Cyberspace Workforce (CWF) Policy and Compliance Program Manager in the NAVSEA Cybersecurity Audit and Inspection Program of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will serve as a senior Cyberspace Workforce (CWF) policy and compliance Program Manager to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Deputy Director, Cybersecurity and supports the NAVSEA Cybersecurity audit and inspection program. You will assist the program/project managers in design, development, and implementation of programs and applications. You will ensure compliance and consistent implementation of Department of Defense and Department of the Navy CWF policies throughout the NAVSEA Enterprise. You will oversee the implementation of Navy and DoD-wide CWF programs and CWF solutions across the NAVSEA Enterprise. You will review, conduct, and participate in audits of CWF programs and projects. You will act as a liaison between NAVSEA field activities (Echelon III and below) Cyberspace Workforce (CWF) Program Managers (PM), OPNAV, DONCIO, and COMNAVIFOR – the CWF Office of Primary Responsibility. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying information technology security principles to ensure IT compliance with cybersecurity policies. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Education Additional Information CYBER WORKFORCE: This position is a Cyber Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023 and supporting Department of Navy policies, for work role Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner proficiency level advanced within 9 months of appointment. The work setting is primarily sedentary in nature. Standard Office Environment; no special requirements. Occasional/infrequent travel to an industrial setting such as a shipyard or on-board a ship. You must be familiar with and comply with the Division's Hazardous Materials Communications Program (HAZCOM). The hardship is reduced through use of standard operating procedures and/or safety equipment. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
