Arconic Fabrication Manufacturing Manager in Washington, Missouri
Reporting to the Operations Manager of the Arconic Washington, MO facility, this position serves as main liaison and leader to all manufacturing and scheduling employees within a department at Arconic’s Washington, Missouri facility. The Manufacturing Manager leads the manufacturing team supervisors who in turn supervise hourly employees in their identified department. The Manufacturing Manager ensures continuous and efficient production in desired quantity and quality to deliver high quality and on-time products. This person is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their department while coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules are met. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves safety, operational, manufacturing, and quality challenges to ensure plant performance is meeting or exceeding established targets.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides inspirational leadership to Production Supervisors to cultivate a high-performance culture.
· Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Promotes internal customer service as key to quality service to external customers.
Reviews and creates operational metrics to monitor organizational performance and determine what actions to take when results do not meet expectations.
· Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Continuously improve safety, quality performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of TOC, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods and strategies.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Capture operational opportunities by submitting capital expenditure requests and then managing approved projects to deliver the expected results.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Ensures safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Engages with employees at all levels and all departments to resolve issues and remove barriers.
May be assigned to be SPA (single point of accountability) for Safety/Environmental disciplines.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
Previous supervisory and/or management experience
Commitment to Safety of their employees and quality of the product produced.
Proven track record of improving processes to improve quality and increase throughput.
Strong knowledge of MS Office with proficiency with MS Excel.

Ability to direct personnel to achieve maximum performance and be in alignment with Arconic’s Core Values.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, NADCAP, AS Standards, TOC, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is highly preferred.
Prefer experience with SAP or equivalent.
Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience
