HP Thought Leadership Team

The HP Thought Leadership team is responsible for running HP's storytelling and programs across the biggest themes impacting our customers today, starting with Hybrid Work. Most recently, the Thought Leadership team launched the Work Relationship Index - a global research study measuring how healthy business leaders, knowledge workers, and IT Decision Maker's relationships with work really are.

As we look to expand our thought leadership campaigns and topics in FY24 and beyond, this position will play an essential role in the team. The Thought Leadership Program Manager will be a key ally in partnering cross functionally to integrate our thought leadership planning in BU and Market plans, ensuring alignment on timing, budgeting, strategy, and insights. The role will also define and implement a simple engagement process with partners to ensure that all appropriate planning meetings, content briefings, launch timing and content itself are accounted for and transparently in place.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and project manage our thought leadership planning across Marketing and Corporate Affairs, HP's Market teams, and our stakeholders across the business.

  • Track and evaluate activity and progress against our Thought Leadership strategy and goals and determine the need for changing priorities and allocation of resources.

  • Coordinate and project manage the execution and approval process for thought leadership deliverables.

  • Develop repeatable thought leadership playbook that leverages key best practices from across the industry and learnings from past thought leadership projects.

  • Strategize how thought leadership could span cross organizations and relate back to our business priorities and product and services.

  • Provide strategic direction and support for various initiatives within the organization

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years in program management largely focused on supporting Communications-specific programs and campaigns

  • Has supported cross-organizational teams or projects supporting execution of programs

  • Communications teams at Fortune 500 companies

  • Presence that inspires trust and confidence

  • Strategic, out of the box thinker

  • Sound judgement, with the ability to balance short- and long-term priorities in a disciplined manner

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and calmly adapts to change when needed

  • Superior project management, program management, and organizational skills

  • Superior listening and interpersonal skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results

  • Superior knowledge and understanding of external and internal communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $70,400 -- $108,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
