Amentum Sr. Security Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Security Specialist to join our team in supporting the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 1.0 in their mission to develop, deliver, and maintain advanced integrated warfare systems and technologies that provide naval warfighters with decisive advantages. The Senior Security Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the PEO IWS mission by providing support in the areas of program planning, execution, and control.

Responsibilities:

  • Support relevant risk management guidance pertaining to overall physical and system security, including applicable security classification guides relevant to program initiatives, implementing and enforcing adherence to DoD 5000 procedures, reporting policy and security incident reporting per current regulations, and overseeing general system accreditation processes

  • Support the management and storage of all cryptographic material and equipment required to operate the TDL equipment. Cryptographic material and system management should be in accordance with NISP 5220.22 (including DoD Manual 5220.22-M), National Security Agency (NSA) Policy Manual 3-16, as well as all applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) issued by DISA per DoD 8570.01 certification requirements.

  • Prepare draft Naval Messages (in compliance with naval message formatting) for PEO IWS release regarding allocations, requisitions and expenditure guidance as well as applicable NCEA, NSF, Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment requirements supporting test events.

  • Collect, analyze, and report program performance data, including financial, technical, and schedule information.

  • Support program reviews and briefings by preparing materials and presentations, documenting action items, and tracking progress.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support program objectives and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs.
