Description

We are offering a contract opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be involved in various accounting functions including account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and general ledger management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Detailed understanding and practical experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ability to handle large data sets

• Proven experience in Month End Close procedures and ensuring timely completion

• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting and the ability to manage and maintain Fixed Assets

• Experience with Investments, understanding of market trends and investment strategies

• Ability to perform thorough Reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies efficiently

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team as well as independently
