Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer to join OHAI and specialize in training and refining our Generative AI Support Bot. This role will focus on developing, training, and enhancing the performance of our AI support bot to ensure it provides a high-quality, contextually relevant assistance for Oracle Health user. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the quality of healthcare support and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, Master's preferred.

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in software engineering or machine learning, with hands-on experience training generative AI models or large language models.

  • Proficiency with Python and familiarity with ML libraries (such as TensorFlow and PyTorch) and NLP frameworks.

  • Strong experience with data preprocessing, dataset management, and model evaluation.

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, terminology, and regulations (e.g., HIPPA), or a strong willingness to learn.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, OCI cloud computing environment and CI/CD pipeline.

  • Excellent analytical skills with problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Experience with conversational AI, large language models or chatbot development

  • Familiarity with OHAI products of similar healthcare technologies.

  • Proven track record of deploying machine learning models in production, especially in regulated industry.

Responsibilities

Model Training and Development: Design, build, and train Generative AI models specifically tailored for OHAI's support bot, ensuring relevance and accuracy in response to generation. Develop new tools as well as refine our existing tools to utilize new AI feature/functionality. Utilize the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Gen AI, RAG, Cohere systems availabile to you to meet development goals.

Data Collection and Preparation: Collaborate with data scientist and domain experts to source, preprocess, and maintain high-quality datasets that enhance the bot's training and performance.

Prompt Engineering: Utilize prompt engineering techniques to improve the accuracy and performance of language models. Work with team and management to develop strategies to optimize prompt design for specific applications and use cases.

Deployment and Automation: Automate the testing and deployment processes of language models to production environments. Ensure smooth integration with existing systems and frameworks.

Performance Optimization: Implement and refine algorithms to improve response accuracy, latency, and user satisfaction by conducting experiments, A/B tests, and error analysis.

Integration and Deployment: Work closely with DevOps and product teams to integrate with AI models into production environment, ensuring smooth deployment and scalability.

Fine-Tuning for Context: Customize AI bot to understand specific healthcare-related queries, handling terminology regulations, and workflow unique to Oracle Health

User-Centric Design: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure the bot delivers a seamless, intuitive user experience, incorporating user feedback into model improvements.

Continuous Improvement: Monitor bot performance using established metrics, iterate on training processes, and introduce enhancements based on user interactions and feedback.

Collaboration and Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams and document all development and training processes, ensuring reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
