Akima Senior Training Consultant in Washington, District Of Columbia

Overview

ADM is seeking a Senior Training Consultant to support our government client located in Washington, DC.The Senior Training Consultant will lead and provide day-to-day support of the training needs to include generation of ideas, and the design, development and implementation of training – courses, manuals, simulations, user guides, test scripts, job aids, FAQ documents, Quick Guides, Webcast, Webinars and other web-based tools. This role is responsible for leading and developing all training/course content. The Senior Training Consultant must have a strong consultative skill set and approach to problem solving, as well as a flexible and collaborative working style. The work requires the individual to be highly adaptable to change, work within tight timelines, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a training portfolio of applications and providing training and organizational change management support for those applications.

  • Work with application SMEs, developers, business and product owners, and leadership to identify training needs and develop a detailed plan for the development and delivery of education/training materials.

  • Leads and guides the creation and execution of Training Plans, Training Curriculums, Training Schedules, Training Logistics, Instructor-Led Trainings (ILT), web-based trainings, user guides, instructor guides, job aids and/or quick guides.

  • Implements and updates training plan to ensure training covers all system functionality and fully meets audience needs.

  • Conducts ongoing training needs analysis for each application, including functions, audience, roles and skills, training infrastructure and timing.

  • Reviews training materials and develops plans for future training needs.

  • Develops a method for measuring success of training materials; evaluate collateral and delivery methods.

  • Customer base is world-wide. There may be instances where the delivery of training will result in working overnight hours or traveling to posts to provide training at times or locations appropriate for the end users.

Qualifications

  • Must have an active a security clearance (Secret).

  • Must possess strong work ethic.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.

  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.

  • Good problem solver/troubleshooter.

  • Must be able to work in fast-paced environment independently while meeting external and internal timelines.

  • Must be able to take and provide direction and correction in a mature, professional manner.

  • Background that facilitates understanding of human resources information systems.

  • 5 or more years of supervisory experience providing direction and control of personnel, preferably in a Human Resources IT project management capacity leading and providing training.

  • Experience developing and providing guidance on how to develop the above listed training documents.

  • 5 or more years of experience in role-based training curriculum development to include business process reengineering, requirements gathering, content capture and development, training audit and evaluation methods.

  • Expertise using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Captivate, MS Teams, SharePoint, and/or other training development tools.

  • Keen understanding of end-user needs; ability to communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders; ability to work well in a team atmosphere.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Preferred (but not required): experience using the Analysis Design Delivery Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model and methodology.

Posted Salary Range

171,004.82 - 176,176.16
