Senior Network Engineer Lead

Washington, DC - Hybrid

Currently hiring for a Senior Network Engineer Lead to support the U.S. Mint. This position will be in Washington, DC and will be a Hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers, with data network hardware and software including but not limited to Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Thousand Eyes, DNAC (Cisco DNA Center), Stealthwatch (Cisco Secure Analytics), Identity Service Engine (ISE).

• Lead Networking team and engineering services

• Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts

• Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks

• Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices

• Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures

• Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning

• Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements

  Qualifications:

Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

Job Required Skills and experience:

• 15 years of network engineering experience

• Practical skills, experience and training designing, configuring, upgrading, deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, data network hardware and software including but not limited to Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Thousand Eyes, DNAC (Cisco DNA Center), Stealthwatch (Cisco Secure Analytics), Identity Service Engine (ISE).

• CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) certification

Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire US Mint/ Department of Treasury Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree Info Systems/Relevant Field - Preferred.

• ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification
