Description We are in the quest for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for various operational and hospitality tasks, including managing incoming calls, handling safety and security procedures, and managing inventory of supplies. Furthermore, you will be responsible for event management tasks such as supporting event organization, setting up and breaking down event spaces, and assisting with administrative tasks associated with events.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.

• Manage safety and security procedures within the premises.

• Sort and deliver mail and packages to staff and tenants.

• Troubleshoot office equipment issues and coordinate with service companies as required.

• Prepare parcels and packages for shipping and handle inventory of supplies.

• Provide excellent customer service to staff, tenants, and visitors.

• Assist with the management and fulfillment of storage, shipping, and inventory-related tasks.

• Support the Events & Operations Manager in organizing events, which includes ordering supplies, assisting with catering, and other services as required.

• Set up and break down event spaces according to event requirements.

• Ensure technology resources are available and functioning during events.

• Handle administrative tasks associated with events such as contracts and billing. Requirements • Applicants must possess strong skills in coordinating meetings, with a proven track record in a similar role.

• Proficiency in MS Outlook is required for managing schedules, communication, and tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills are essential to ensure smooth operations in the logistics department.

• The candidate should demonstrate effective communication skills to liaise with various teams and stakeholders.

• Experience in the logistics field is highly desirable to understand the nuances of planning, implementing, and managing supply chain strategies.

• The ability to multitask and handle stress in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

• Problem-solving skills are required to address any issues that might arise in the logistics process.

• Applicants should have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing and delivery.

• Knowledge of logistics software or specific systems relevant to the industry would be advantageous.

• Candidates should demonstrate strong team-working skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.

• A high level of integrity and professionalism is expected to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
