The Role
As a Lead Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the project management and controls processes with the internal project deployment team to execute project deliverables within budget and schedule.
The Main Responsibilities
• Ensure project set-up in the Enterprise Project Management software.
• Analyze data, review logs, and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
• Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective scheduling, activity, earned value management, risk and issue reports, and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Follow project execution plans.
• Responsible for engineering, procurement and construction planning, scheduling, and activity tracking.
• Serve as a point of contact for project management and control questions from the project teams.
• Input and document changes to project schedule, risks/issues, actions, and forecasts.
• Interface with the Project Deployment Teams to review project progress, risks, issues, and activities.
• Develop project schedules at various levels of detail.
• Apply and review the entry of logic ties within the schedules.
• Monitor resource loading of a schedule.
• Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
• Create various schedule reports and determine appropriate reporting format.
• Develop, review, and analyze pre-programmed project scheduling reports and back-up documentation for accuracy.
• Lead project deployment status meetings.
• Prepare and present project reports for schedule, risks/issues, earned value management, and activities.
• Consult with the project team on schedule progress.
• Analyze and evaluate schedule management involving the critical path method of scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management and forecasting.
• Perform schedule what-if scenarios.
• Input and validate progress measurement.
• Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
• Assist with Project Forensic Analysis.
• Proactively work to identify ways to breakdown silos and improve project execution.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$80510 - $107340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$84740 - $112980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$88980 - $118630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$93210 - $124280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
What We Look For in a Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Project management certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• 6+ years of direct project controls or project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and documenting progress towards those deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
