BAE Systems Lead ICAM Systems Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

BAE Systems Intelligence division is searching for a Lead ICAM Systems Administrator to join us supporting an IT effort with the FBI located in Washington DC.

As a Lead ICAM Systems Administrator, the expectation is to install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of ICAM systems.

Provide oversight and direction to the systems administration team.

Manage the implementation of system updates, patches, and upgrades.

Ensure system security and compliance with FBI guidelines.

Coordinate with other IT teams to maintain system integrity and availability.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

In order to be successful in this position must possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 8 years of experience in systems administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, PKI, and Identity Management systems.

  • Experience working in a Top Secret/SCI environment with a current active Top Secret clearance.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent.

  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiarity with FBI or other federal agency IT environments is preferred.

  • Be a leader and mentor; enjoys teaching and growing team skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
