Robert Half Help Desk Analyst II in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

We are providing an opportunity for a skilled Help Desk Analyst II based in Washington, District of Columbia. This role will primarily revolve around basic support and maintenance within our Information Technology department. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing various equipment, providing A/V support for special events, and carrying out basic IT troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic support and maintenance within the Information Technology department, including equipment maintenance and service, storage room maintenance, and desk setups.

• Set up and support video conference and telecommunications systems for meetings.

• Provide A/V support for special office events.

• Assist staff as needed with missing or malfunctioning desk equipment.

• Maintain Asset Management database.

• Coordinate the repair and return of damaged laptops.

• Printer support, including toner & paper refresh, ordering supplies, removing jams and recycling toner.

• Coordinate the repair and maintenance of office printers with outside vendor.

• Manage storage room inventory and cleanliness and order supplies when low.

• Provide basic IT troubleshooting.

Requirements • Possession of excellent customer service skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with clients and resolve their concerns in a timely manner.

• Proficient in handling computer hardware, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues.

• Expertise in managing desktop hardware, including installation, maintenance, and repair.

• Familiarity with various associated hardware and ability to resolve any technical issues that arise.

• Experience with audio visual equipment, with the capacity to set up, operate, and troubleshoot such systems as needed.

• Ability to manage conference room setup and cleanup, ensuring the space is well-prepared for meetings and other events.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve technical issues.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to a non-technical audience.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology.

• Proven reliability, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.

• Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
