SGI Global, LLC Firearms Range Logistics and Property Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

SGI Global is seeking a Firearms Range Logistics and Property Manager to support a government client.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for issuing weapons and weapons parts, ammunition, flash bangs and smoke grenades in addition to receiving, counting and putting away stock.

  • Responsible for making appropriate entries in International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) Maximo application for Asset and Inventory Management, including, logging in and issuing out weapons, ammunition, lost and found property, and equipment as necessary.

  • Assist in conducting the bi-annual count of on-site weapons and ammunition, to be reconciled within Maximo.

  • Shall recommend and submit requests for orders of firearms, ammunition, holsters, and other related accessories.

  • Assist the range supervisor in gathering quotes for market research, using required information obtained from vendors or other sources.

  • Assists with tracking the receipt, issue, return, transfer, and disposition of firearms under the oversight and management of the range supervisor.

  • Maintain and enforce security of weapons, equipment and storage areas, and must immediately report any theft or damage to the Supervisor.

  • Responsible for the filing of any and all paperwork necessary for reconciliation of these issues.

  • Responsible for the daily opening, closing, and securing of the armory on a daily basis.

  • Requires a variety of asset management duties involving many different and unrelated processes and methods including but not limited to the full range of technical equipment management duties in the areas of equipment accountability including acquisition, utilization, identification, inventory control, and disposition of all equipment under the direction of the Supervisor.

  • Ensure that all property and equipment items are used for their intended purpose and are properly maintained and accounted for.

  • Provide recommendations to the Range Supervisor pertaining to inventory controls and procedures to ensure proper protection, security, and maintenance.

  • Employ specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of established property/equipment management processes.

  • Assist in maintaining and developing and improving visibility of equipment management programs across the Department.

  • Design and analyze program effectiveness to isolate weaknesses and to identify potential problems areas. Adheres to policy in well-established areas of inventory management planning and administration.

  • Provides technical direction in area of responsibility, producing reports, property and/or equipment inventories, and statistical analyses on an ad hoc basis and to effectively accomplish the Department's mission.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a working knowledge of pistols, rifles, shotguns, specialized weapons, and munitions utilized throughout the Department.

  • Shall be able to lift 50 pounds, have a valid driver license, and learn to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack through government provided training.
