Robert Half Finance Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in the professional services industry, located in Washington, DC. The role entails offering financial expertise and guidance to our team, ensuring efficient financial operations, and delivering meaningful financial reports. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable process to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices

• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data and procedures

• Manage the budgeting process, including the planning, tracking, and evaluation of budgetary goals

• Implement appropriate capital management strategies to optimize financial resources

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present them to the management team

• Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and reported accurately

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation to maintain the accuracy of financial statements

• Conduct flux analysis to identify and explain variances in financial performance

• Maintain the general ledger, including the recording of financial transactions and the preparation of financial statements

• Use financial skills to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and legislation

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Experience with Month End Close activities

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Ability to perform Flux Analysis

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
