Summary This is an entry-level Facilities Engineer position assigned to the Office of Facilities, Information and Asset Management. You will perform professional engineering work, while developing knowledge and skills in a variety of engineering functions and assisting senior specialists in performing a variety of tasks in one or more of the core types of work functions. Responsibilities The Facilities Engineer: Assists Senior engineers on various aspects of engineering projects, such as preparing drawings, graphs & charts, performing analysis, perform calculations using standard mathematical engineering formulas. Works with stationary engineers, staff engineers, and building equipment operators in understanding methods and procedures on highly complex facility components, such as Building Automation Systems (BAS), chilled water systems, hydronic heating systems, cooling towers, and boiler room systems. Gathers and compiles engineering data, using judgment and knowledge in selection from a variety of prescribed but non-standardized sources. Prepares the set-up, conducts tests, takes measurements, observes and records data, compiles test data, and prepares preliminary report of findings. Education MANDATORY EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: A.
