DFC's Internship Program offers valuable experience that contributes to educational and professional growth, and may be applied in any future employment endeavor, including federal, state and local governments or in the private sector. Responsibilities This position will support DFC's communications activities and all stakeholder outreach and events. Duties include assisting with press outreach, drafting press and marketing materials, helping manage web and social media content, supporting planning and execution of events for foreign and U.S. dignitaries, and more. This internship provides the opportunity to be fully integrated into a federal public affairs team and work on communications projects related to the top international development and foreign policy issues of today. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled at least part-time in an accredited college or university in pursuing degrees in Government/Public Policy/Political Science, International Affairs/Development, Communications/Marketing, and/or International Business/Finance. Successful completion of a background investigation is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs are also required.
