JPMorgan Chase Director, Diverse Founder Programs in Washington, District Of Columbia

Our BG&E team is seeking an experienced professional for an integral role in developing and executing the strategy to serve diverse founders and owners of high-growth businesses. Responsibilities will include identifying, developing and implementing key opportunities to expand BG&E programs and impact. This person will work closely with senior executives and stakeholders, providing an exciting opportunity to lead and influence our emerging DEI BG&E strategy on a global scale, in a dynamic and matrixed environment.

As a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion BG&E Executive Director, you will be a key leader who will drive the strategy in alignment with DEI Centers of Excellence, business partners and the firm's overall BG&E goals; ensure all diverse segment needs are met through our efforts; establish standardization across programs; test and build new programs that optimize for outcomes; and measure and refine programs based on our learnings.

Job Responsibilities:

The professional in this role will report to the DEI Head of BG&E. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute DEI's holistic BG&E vision and strategy for high-growth businesses, based on input and expertise from DEI's seven Centers of Excellence, which serve diverse communities

  • Manage relationships and collaboration with the extended DEI Management Team, line of business partners, Corporate Responsibility, Communications, Strategy, Finance, executive forums, other internal partners, and a wide array of external partners

  • Develop quantifiable impact metrics and manage the team to deliver against those metrics

  • Partner with senior leaders across the firm's lines of business, strategic hubs, and expansion markets to ensure our programs support client and community engagement among high-growth businesses

  • Create and oversee as strong controls environment by adhering to legal/risk/compliance expectations, procedures and processes

  • Manage a small team of experienced DEI professionals and relationships with numerous internal partners

  • Maximize our intersectional efforts across communities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert and provide support and advice to firmwide strategy, offerings, product and knowledge including identifying emerging trends that impact communities

  • Leverage the convening power of the firm to expand the business owner ecosystem to be more inclusive, bringing founders and funders together for capital, networking, and educational opportunities.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 15+ years of experience in financial services or a related industry of professional services; at least 3 years of leadership experience required

  • Experience in the Tech and VC ecosystem supporting high-growth, VC-backable founders and start ups

  • Strong data and analytics skills with a track record of being able to identify issues and trends, analyze different data sources, and develop solutions and effective messaging

  • Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills; experience presenting to and communicating with senior leaders; advanced Microsoft PowerPoint/PitchPro and excel skills

  • Strong project management and execution abilities, including process and change management; proven track record of executing large scale strategic initiatives and programs; understanding of disciplines such as finance, marketing, and communications

  • Excellent consulting, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders; ability to challenge, collaborate and gain consensus and work effectively in a matrix organization

  • Team management experience and demonstrated track record of developing talent

  • Demonstrated ability to marshal resources across various lines of business to deliver against goals
