DCG Communications Communications Content Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking an organized, thorough, and proactive Communications Content Specialist to join our talented team. In support of our client’s mission, our focus is helping VA expand Veteran access to care through digital technologies. The Communications Content Specialist will be focused on developing both technical and creative materials to be used in training plans and technical guides, various project-based reports, social media content and blog posts. Content will be posted to a variety of digital mediums requiring strong familiarity with platform management, technical troubleshooting and issue resolution. 

Key Responsibilities:

Training Materials Development:

  • Develop comprehensive app-based training plans and materials.

  • Coordinate the design and development of app content.

  • Ensure training materials are aligned with the overall goals and objectives

    Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Proactively inform client stakeholders and aid in quick resolution of app-based issues.

  • Collaborate closely with the lead to ensure a full understanding of materials, processes, and style for developing deliverables.

  • Participate in daily and weekly team and client/stakeholder meetings to discuss needs, expectations, and requirements for developing and editing deliverables.

  • Offer fresh ideas for engaging and relevant content

    Content Creation:

  • Create written communications products, including project-related reports and updates, social media content, and blog posts.

  • Deliver high-quality written materials independently, ensuring they are at least 95% complete before review.

  • Incorporate feedback from internal team members and clients to refine and finalize deliverables.

    Status Updates and Reporting:

  • Provide daily status updates on the progress of training materials and other deliverables.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and clients to ensure alignment and transparency.

    Qualifications:

    Experience and Skills:

  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience writing high-quality content for a variety of platforms.  Federal government consulting or public relations experience a strong plus.

  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content.

  • Proven experience in developing training materials, particularly for app-based or virtual technologies.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality materials with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

    Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field is required.
