Summary
The Client Relationship Director develops relationships and solicits business with new and existing accounts. Oversees execution of Audio Visual projects, coordinating team efforts to achieve client vision. Responsible for processing orders, complete billing, and solicit new & repeat business while providing excellent customer service to all clients, both internal & external. Assists in resigning existing business. Focuses on monitoring, growing, and up-selling existing/new business. Solid understanding of the audio visual industry.
This position will support our Audio Visual Corporate Events group under our Growth (Sales) team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 1-2 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:
Alexandria, VA
Washington, D.C.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Actively engage in sales activities with both internal and external clients, focusing on maintaining and expanding client and enterprise relationships.
Monitor, grow, and upsell existing and new business opportunities.
Coordinate proposal requests and deliver stand-up presentations where necessary, following up to ensure successful sales closure.
Support all pre-sale activities leading to production and fulfillment, including necessary proposal preparation.
Gather crucial information for estimating purposes to ensure accurate and competitive budgeting.
Manage budget updates to accommodate scope changes and additional billing, ensuring profitability.
Conduct site inspections as required and attend events to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Assist in updating Salesforce and other Freeman platforms throughout the sales process.
Attend meetings with account teams to gather essential information for estimating and pre-production activities.
Assessment of scope and scale, identifying preliminary roles needed for the event team.
Review orders with project managers and branch personnel to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Monitor all departments to ensure deliverables are completed and meet deadlines.
Maintain open communication between sales and operations teams at AV branches.
Participate in post-event close-out activities, including final billing and invoicing.
Sells products/services above and beyond existing contract
Re-signs existing business
Address customer complaints promptly and handle the payment collection process efficiently to meet customer needs.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
8+ years experience managing and coordinating projects, on-site event experience
Excellent customer service skills
Software/Systems experience in Salesforce, Workfront a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications
Strong drive for personal growth and commitment to succeed
Demonstrated proficiency in accuracy and ability to prioritize
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
Excellent verbal communication skills required
Travel Requirements
