AvantGarde, LLC Administrative Assistant in Washington, District Of Columbia

AvantGarde, LLC (AG), seeks to engage an Administrative Assistant supports the AG client on site at the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing (OBIC) by providing broad-based administrative and technical assistance to a team supporting sworn and civilian applicant suitability and clearance processes, general requests and inquiries for fingerprinting and credentialing and other administrative office tasks.

The WORK

  • Provide front desk customer service support for OBIC services via phone, email or in person visits.

  • Support USCP by providing administrative support for OBIC office processes including logistics for sworn candidate assessments, candidate investigations and credentialing services.

  • Coordinate and monitor a variety of administrative assignments, i.e., badging, space, and logistics.

  • Reorganize and maintain records management for the Investigator’s case jackets filing system.

  • Conduct badging and fingerprinting operation for OBIC customers.

The REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required an undergraduate degree in HR or related field is highly desired

  • At least 6 months - 1 year of experience providing general administrative support, internships quality for experience

  • Knowledge of MS Office

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality processes to secure private candidate information.

  • Good Communication skills and writing skills with specific attention to detail.

  • Excellent, demonstrated customer service skills.

  • Flexibility with their approach in delivery of work.

Other Specifications

  • Must be willing to work onsite, full-time, in Downtown DC. No remote support is permitted.

  • Must be able to report for work M-F, 5 days a week. Alternative flex schedule is allowed within normal work hours (i.e., between the hours of 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance following USCP’s fingerprint/criminal background check process, which is unique to USCP.
