Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Washington, District of Columbia. As an integral part of our team, you will be tasked with the management and processing of payable invoices, vendor coordination, journal entry creation and posting, as well as conducting various financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle payable accounts by processing invoices.

• Ensure proper matching and coding of invoices.

• Be responsible for managing vendor relations.

• Create and post relevant journal entries into the general ledger.

• Conduct reconciliations of payable accounts.

• Process expense reports in a timely manner.

• Carry out ACH and wire transfer processing.

• Execute check runs and check cutting tasks.

• Review and prepare 1099 documents as required.

• Utilize your skills in invoice management and provide top-notch customer service for invoice inquiries.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential.

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is beneficial.

• Knowledge of Concur software is preferred.

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.

• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions is crucial.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is expected.

• Prior experience in Auditing is a plus.

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations is desirable.

• Proficiency in Bookkeeping tasks is needed.

• Ability to perform Bookkeeping Functions is essential.
